It was interesting to edit these two photos. First was getting the eyes to the same brightness/luminosity. The Tone Map persona in Affinity makes everything very saturated. The persona brightens everything up but it brings in a lot of compression and can make the image look too 'sharp'. The issue in this case was that the persona made all the hairs too visible. As a tool it's a double edge sword.

The lens did a lot of work too. The focus and the clarity of the picture came from the lens. I feel good about the edits.
