The Art Institute is hosting a Cezanne exhibit. It was interesting to see his still lifes and landscapes. I've seen his Mont Sainte-Victoire several times, specifically in the phenomenological sense. He's a great painter but after looking at an exhibit of his still for about an hour I wanted to see impressionist paintings.
I'm interested in watching people view the art. Sometimes it's people taking pictures next to art. Other times it's people, like the couple, talking about the art. Sometimes its people taking up close pictures of the art. A personal favorite genre of people watching at the Art Institute is people standing next to American Gothic and mimcing the poses.
Till next time - excelsior.
